2nd Annual Spot Landing Contest
Where: Wausau Downtown Airport (KAUW)
When: Daily For The Entire Month of May
Time: 5:30 - 7:30pm Monday - Friday
10:30 - 11:30am Weekends
Weather: Must be better than 1500' ceiling and 5 miles visibility
ALL DONATIONS AND PROCEEDS WILL BE CONTRIBUTED TO

Official Rules
Prior to first attempt, pilot must stop in to pay entry fee ($1 AND a non-perishable food item OR $2) and provide proof of insurance
From each entry, $1 is put in the pot for contest winner
The other $1 or food item will be donated to The Neighbors' Place on behalf of the Wausau Downtown Airport
Additional food or monetary donations will also be accepted
Pilots must pay for and attempt a minimum of 2 landings upon initial entry
Pilots are encouraged to participate as many times as they like
Judged landings must be in the box marked on the runway
Landings outside the box will be disqualified
Bounces before the box will be disqualified
Go-arounds without touching down WILL NOT be disqualified
Tailwheel touches before the box WILL NOT be disqualified
Only landings where the main gear touches and sticks will be judged (bounces don't count)
Wheel landings are allowed
Wausau Flying Service will display and maintain a participant list in the FBO lobby
Weather conditions will be at the discretion of the participant AND the judges on duty
The decisions of the judges are FINAL
All whiners, complainers, and you-shoulders will be disqualified!
Contest winner's name will be engraved on the trophy which stays at WFS for year-round display
Pilots from other airports are encouraged to participate!
Bring a non-flying friend or family member along and receive a $1/gallon discount on 100LL* or $10/hour discount on aircraft rental!
