Instrument Rating
Once you have obtained your private pilot certificate, the next step for many pilots is earning their Instrument Rating. This allows you to fly in more challenging weather conditions (low clouds and low visibility) than a Private Pilot.
General Requirements
Applicant must hold at least a Private Pilot Certificate
Be able to read, speak, and understand English
Pass a written, multiple choice exam with at least a 70%
Maintain their FAA Medical
Various minimum flight times must also be met
FlyThisSim Simulator
Students can also utilize our Simulator for instrument or primary training.
We offer both hourly simulator use at $40 per hour or special membership packages allowing solo unlimited access:
- One Month - $160
- Six Months - $390
- Full Year - $610
