Milestones

Mark Jones flew with only one soul on board an aircraft under his command for the first time on May 3, 2009.   Mark flew Wausau Flying Service's Cessna C-150 N11454.  He has been training with WFS flight Instructors Chris MacAdams and John Chmiel.  Congratulations Mark!

Jeremy Bartels flew with one soul on board an aircraft under his command for the first time on November 15, 2009.   Jeremy flew Wausau Flying Service’s C-172 N5251E..  He has been training with WFS flight Instructor Chris MacAdams.  Congratulations Jeremy!

Raechel Geary flew solo in WFS’s Cessna 172 N441DP on May 19, 2011.  She is now a private pilot and an aviation student at Minnesota State University in Mankato.  Raechel trained with WFS CFI Gil Buettner.

Luke Peter passed his private pilot checkride on August 12, 2011 with designated examiner Duffy Gaier in Marshfield.  Luke trained in WFS’s Cessna 150 N11454 with CFIs Chris MacAdams, B.J. Cheyka and Gil Buettner.  Luke is now an aviation student at the University of North Dakota.

Greg Buxton flew his initial solo in WFS’s Cessna 172 N441DP on March 16, 2011.  Greg trained with WFS CFI Gil Buettner.

Steve Gering flew his initial solo in WFS’s Cessna 150 N11454 on August 10, 2011 at Wausau Downtown Airport.  Steve trained with CFI Gil Buettner.
