Wausau Flying Service, Inc. has added two rentals to its fleet and they are currently on display at the airport.  The his and her Schwinn "Fat Tire" beach cruiser bicycles are the newest way for fly-in visitors to get around town.  The bikes will be available to people who fly in that may want to see the Wausau area community from a different and fun perspective. 

Cyclists can follow the bike route which goes right by the airport.  Ride past beautiful Memorial Park (maybe go for a swim?), view the vintage homes in Wausau's Historical District, visit Downtown Wausau for shopping, and you can even follow the "River's Edge" bike trails.

Transient pilots who buy fuel for their aircraft can have the bikes free for the first 2 hours.  If you can't buy fuel, you can rent each bike outright for $2 an hour, $5 for four hours, or $10 for the day.  So if you're looking for a destination to fly to with something fun to do, call us at 715 845-3400 or email at taildraggerflyer@yahoo.com to inquire about bike availability.
