Biography In 1991 I was employed by Rhinelander Flying Service as a Air Direct Charter coordinator. In 1992 John and I moved to Wausau to operate Wausau Flying Service. In 1993 I became a FAA Testing Center Supervisor. Besides regular management responsibilities of the FBO, I also am the company's Finance Director. I am also responsible for all of the training and facilitating of the FAA exams we give. Licenses & Ratings Student Pilot, Airplane Single-Engine Land, 30 hours total flight time. Soloed a J-5 cub and a C172. Favorite Airplane Gullwing Stinson Reliant SR8 Most Interesting Aviation Experience I got an opportunity to fly in a B-17 from Eau Claire. What was supposed to be a 20 minute flight turned into about an hour and a half flight through marginal weather with thunderstorms. It almost felt like they were flying in the war by dodging thunderstorms and trying to keep the B-24 in sight. Also, John and I had a very exciting trip to South Carolina one summer in a Cherokee. Besides it being a long trip and getting to fly through some interesting areas of the east coast and seeing weather patterns like we don't get around here, we came acrossed a very cool airplane. We were flying over Kentucky and I had to go to the bathroom. Although John wasn't all that happy about having to stop, we looked at the sectional and agreed upon this little airport that was close. As we taxied in we saw a big hangar with the door open. When we walked up, we saw a P-38 that had been rescued out of the ice in Greenland that was being restored. I had just donated money to the foundation which was restoring the airplane while visiting the Oshkosh EAA Convention earlier that year. What luck to come across that!!
